ADHD Medication Treatment Monitoring (TxMx). What is it?
ADHD Medication Treatment Monitoring (TxMx) is an evidence-based, personalised process to select the correct ADHD medication and dose for you.
Unique to us, it is also known as supervised titration, TxMx is a rigorous process that safely moves you from zero ADHD medication to the final maintenance dose you will take going forward.
Avoiding a “one-size-fits-all” approach and working closely with your psychiatrist, TxMx is time and cost-effective in achieving optimal results at the lowest possible dose, while minimising unnecessary medication use and side effects.
The TxMx process consists of the following:
Short, up to 25-minute, weekly sessions. It’s much better to meet in person, especially at first; online sessions are OK later on.
Before each session you’ll complete a Treatment Rater that takes about 5 minutes to complete.
This yields a chart (TxMx Sample Chart) showing your progress on symptom reduction, work and home performance, side effects and other variables.
At each session we’ll go over how you’ve subjectively felt on the meds over the last week and review the objective data on the chart.
The process ends once you’ve reached your maintenance dose. Your psychiatrist can then hand over prescribing to your GP after you’ve been stable on a dose of medication for 3 months.
